hi ben, i installed the 6 pack kit, with lines that I bought from you a few weeks ago. engine is 452 cubes 9.0 cr - alum 440 source heads xe275hl cam 3.23 rear- 2800 stall 727 trans 28 inch tire. i installed 5.5 pv, center carb 66, ft and rear carbs 80 on the jets. Part throttle runs good, when i mash the pedal it bucks and sputters like its running out of fuel. Any suggestions. steve c. new jersey

I would check the float level first and make sure it is high enough. When installing the parts sometime the floats get bump around and that can change your setting. If the floats setting is good then I would check your fuel filters and fuel pressure.

thanks for the reply, i checked float level, dripping out ok. i'm going to try 84 jets in ft and rear and see what happens. I'm still using the brown springs. what do you think?

Steve
What squirter are you running in the center carb? We normally like to run a 31 in it. You might not be getting enough fuel from there. I would also check you accelerator pump cam, there are different cams and timing for them that helps with the transition.

ok i just installed 85 jets in both end carbs, runs better but shuts down about 4500 rpm. Does putting in 88 jets make sense? I dont have any hesitation mashing the pedal now. Still running the brown springs. the carbs are the new ones from holley, everything is original with the pumps and squirters. thanks for all your suggestions!
